By: Camila Lopez, Junior Can I put my identity on a page?
I am sixteen, born in Miami. I live in a collision of cultures. Family born in Venezuela, I learn about the Latin world my family is from, Through food, stories, and language. I don’t know everything in life, At sixteen. What I do know, Is my roots define who I am. Inspired by the never-ending waterfalls, Breathtaking landscapes, History-rich towns, That enhance the land. This ancestry is a part of me, As I am a part of it, Interlacing me into a grander story, Spanning across the world Our Hispanic heritage changes the way we walk our paths, However unique they each are.

Camila LopezSome things to know about me are: I love to listen to music and laugh with my friends. I also like to volunteer at many different places in my free time in order to help and learn new things. I hope you enjoy my writing this year! |
