Welcome back to the iPrep for the 2018-2019 school year. While we were gone, iPrep went through a plethora of changes; the middle school area on the first floor has been renovated. Four new classrooms have been added to the middle school section of the building. Additionally, many of the walls have also been given new life with a fresh coat of paint. The Finale Wall is also under construction in the middle school area. The Finale Wall commemorates the last of construction needed for the second floor of the building. There are also some new classes that are being offered at iPrep this year. New Classes:
Our New Assistant Principal: Ms. Gonzalez, the newest addition to the iPrep pantheon: Q: How long have you been an educator? A: I have been in education for the past 13-14 years. Q: Where did you teach/come from (what school)? A: Terra Environmental Research Institute Q: Have you taught at any other schools? A: “I was at Palmetto Senior High School and prior to that I was at Braddock Senior High School and before that I was at an alternative education program called Troy Academy.” Q: What are your goals as the new assistant principal? A: “My goals as the new assistant principal are to make sure that the school is running, the best of the best to make sure that you guys are advancing, that you are having fun while doing so, and ultimately making sure it is in a safe environment.” Q: What do you enjoy (so far) most about iPrep? A: “The kids are wonderful. The staff is been so gracious in welcoming me. They have really put a nice team together here.” Q: Do you have any hobbies? A: “I love to Travel. It's not so much of a hobby it's just something that I love to do. I’m a busy mom and a busy worker, so my hobbies include what my kids love to do. We’re on the football field every night and every weekend.” Q: What’s your biggest pet peeve? A: “Dishonesty, if your not honest with yourself or others, you are just faking it through life. You aren't being true to who you should be and who you can be. If you be true to yourself as a student, someone who works here, or someone striving to be their best, you must be responsible, you need to be here on time, you need to do your work. You need self motivation and discipline.” As you can see, there are numerous changes for the 2018-2019 school year. It’s looking to be another great year at iPrep! Be on the look-out for any more updates. Have a great year!
