By Laura Crespo, Freshman My academic year as a new member of the iPrep family was filled with many new experiences and memories. Although at first I was a little reluctant to open up completely to this new stage of my life, I was able to meet some of the most wonderful individuals that guided me throughout the year and made it easier for me to adapt. Thinking back to the first week of school, I can see that I over exaggerated how things would turn out. I used to think I would feel like an outcast; however, the complete opposite happened. The majority of the teachers were very welcoming, and the staff members were all very kind and helpful. In class, we have worked on many interesting projects such as making a hexahedron in Geometry and acting out Romeo & Juliet wearing masks in English! This year was also filled with many challenges, and although it was difficult, I was able to overcome them. Compared to my previous expectations, this school year was surprisingly wonderful for my first year of high school, which is usually the year that makes teenagers not want to come to school ever again.
Thinking of the future and the following years at iPrep, I'm excited to see what's in store for me. I'm ready to learn new things in the classes that I picked for next year and to meet many new people. I will reunite with my friends once we come back from summer break and continue to make new memories in our second year of high school. This time, not as freshmen, but as sophomores who are ready to continue their fascinating high school adventure.
