By Melanie Rodriguez, Senior, Editor in Chief “One last time and then we’ll teach them how to say goodbye.” -Hamilton: An American Musical I am overcome with a bittersweet feeling as I begin my final editorial for The Phoenix Flyer. From writing for the newsletter since its creation during my sophomore year to serving as Editor in Chief during my junior and senior years, The Phoenix Flyer has become an integral part of my high school journey. Working on the Flyer alongside Ms. Keller helped me realize that writing is what I love, and I am inspired me to pursue this craft as a professional. As Editor in Chief, I leave iPrep with the responsibility to continue to create the kind of content that makes The Phoenix Flyer what it is:
Although, it is difficult to part ways with something so valuable, I am excited to entrust the newsletter’s responsibilities onto other students and watch how they continue to expand the Flyer. Plus, I can surely be found writing for the alumni column in a couple of months. Working with iPrep’s extremely talented student body for these past two years has been an absolute pleasure. Thank you to Ms. Keller for trusting me with the responsibility to carry this newsletter and for allowing us to always have a safe, creative space in which to express our thoughts. Thank you iPrep for having me as your Editor in Chief for two years consecutively. It has been an honor to serve. “iPrep” by Melanie Rodriguez
Imagine a school like no other, where education is transformed. Painted halls of blue, green, yellow, and magenta reflect colorful imaginations. Refusing to conform to boundaries, iPrep’s students are the definition of individuality. Entrusted with the responsibility to achieve our dreams– our opportunities are unlimited. Preparing us for life and creating friendships built to last beyond these vivid, painted halls.
