Amazon
World hunger is and has been a problem for quite a long time now, and with COVID-19, the situation has only gotten worse causing food insecurity rates to rise drastically. That's where companies like Amazon come in. Amazon, recognizing the magnitude of the dilemma, has chosen to take the problem head-on with its “Help for Hunger” program. As said in Help for Hunger, “Help for Hunger” aims to provide food for millions of those in need and to help/support food banks as well as community organizations that are struggling with overwhelming demands. So far, according to Amazon’s website (www.aboutamazon.com), they have “helped provide more than 15 MILLION meals to more than 103,000 children in 974 different schools nationwide”. That's not all, because Amazon has also donated more than 2 million dollars to support hunger relief programs, which they say “ directly benefit children and families, along with in-kind donations equivalent to serving over 30 million meals.”

Apple
Help is always needed all around the world and thanks to Apple, support is given. Apple, already a significant contributor to people's lives, has decided to take an extra step and help out even more. As written in “Apple marks a year of giving in the communities it calls home”, Apple’s “Employee Giving program celebrates its 10th anniversary, having raised nearly $725 million for 39,000 organizations worldwide — with over $120 million distributed to organizations around the globe in 2021 alone.”. Apple’s program helps out the community by allowing people to volunteer their time in places such as soup kitchens, homeless shelters, and even children’s schools. What Apple does is for every dollar or hour a volunteer donates, Apple donates that money to the same organization. Apple has done so much in the past decade but they plan on doing much more in the following years to come.
